We've done some sublimated products on cast acrylic, and as they come out of the press soft, it was easily to bend/form as required after taking them out - had some custom made jigs we could use to wrap them round or lay them to cool on

For your grid, you could set the clear acrylic on a Helix cutting mat to save you some trouble.
I was playing about with acrylic a couple of years ago before my workshop move disrupted things. I was using an oven to heat the sheets and form them. It was a little hit and miss but I was using really thick sheets, it's blooming hot and you didn't get a lot of time before it cooled. I was free-styling though before investing money on tools.
Are you using sublimation acrylic sheets or polyester acrylic? I hadn't got as far as the print testing stage.
