We do actually have clear eyelets for this machine as well but, being plastic, they don't pierce and set in one press - you punch the hole and then set the eyelet.
To be honest we never use them now, our customers prefer and expect metal ones.

I have some of each that I use on my trade stand on local events and shows. I find the self adhesive ones last longer. On a hot windy day the vinyl gets hot and the eyelets have been known to pull out.I had a quick look at similar tabs yesterday, initially dismissing them but looking at these they do look very good. I like the idea that they don't interfere with the print and are somewhat stronger.
I guess most folk expect the banner to be hemmed with eyelets so it's just changing perception.
