Hi All - Sale has now been agreed and deposit secured.
    Great news.

On another note, do you mind telling me where you got your slates from, what time and temp you did them in the oven and what paper (or film) you used?

Many thanks in advance and good luck in the future.

Thanks buddy - And no problem...

I use the slates from dyesublimationsupplies. I don't think they're any different to other suppliers but they come in plain brown boxes which are easy to brand.

I use BMS subliclassic paper and set my 3D oven (ST3042) for 200c (I know most people use a flatbed but I prefer the results from the 3D press).

    For 2 x 15x20cm slates (or 1 x 20x30cm) I'll preheat for 12 minutes (8-10 minutes for 1 15x20cm slate).

I then 'sublimate' for 8 minutes

    Perfect results every time

    Good luck!

    Cheers Pal.

Do you turn on both ovens or just the top one?

And when you say "Preheat" I presume you mean heating up the oven or do you mean physically putting the slate in the oven for 12 minutes, taking out, applying paper and then putting back in?

No I preheat oven for around 45 minutes (can probably get away with less). I then physically preheat the slate for 12 minutes in the oven - Then Apply Paper and put back in to sublimate.

Using a heat press, this is how we do our slates:

    Sublimating slates.
    Temperature: 205c/400f
    Time: 480secs
    Pressure: Medium/Heavy

Pre-press the slate with the silicon mat for 70secs to take any moisture out and to warm the slate up.
Print your image slightly larger than the slate and wrap it around the slate using tape to secure in place.
Press for 480secs and allow to cool fully before removing the paper. Place in soapy water to aid removal of the paper which will stick.
