    33110DN - Problem with colors

The Ricoh Afficio sg 33110DN prints the colors very tricky. Especially the red color is horrible. The problem started when I used the flush function of the printer. Until now, the printer has been operating normally for over a year without any major problems.

In picture, Mug with the right colors. And in the lower picture Mug with the colors that the printer now does.

Detail a little more info about your setup, paper, inks etc. Also, do you have the ICC profile installed? Is nozzle check ok?

    Paper: Sawgrass Trupix Classic
    Inks: Sublijet Ricoh 3110/7100

I use PS 7.0 as a printing program. Nozzle check is ok. When i printing paper image looks good. But result in a cup is awful.

I still suspect that the flush feature made the colors too wet and therefore the colors appear faded. Is it possible? I had a similar ricoh printer this time ago and I used flush the same way once and the problems started.

I have installed the drivers when I installed the printer. Or what do you mean? Do I still have to get the drivers for the ink?

No, I'm asking if you've checked over all of your settings in Photoshop foe example? Sometimes a setting can be changed accidentally so always worth running through. SG will also dial in to check all of your settings for you.

What settings do you mean, for example? Because I have not deliberately edited the settings in Photoshop.

First thing you needs to do is check all settings against SG support website, for a start you might want to double check that Intent setting. I appreciate you would have done this during install but settings can and do get changed so check them over before we go any further. Remember, you're paying a premium to SG for these inks because of the support you get so make sure they check everything for you as well.

Assign SRGB 2.1 as the working RGB profile.

If you are not using powerdriver, the destination space should be your custom ICC profile, not Euroscale.

If you are using powerdriver it should be SRGB 2.1 and the printer output would be powerdriver and not the printer.

    I asked Sawgrass about this.

The culprit of this issue appears to be your inks as they are all either
expired or about to expire. I recommend replacing the cartridges and
then performing several head flushes to get the ink levels down to 75%.
This will flush out the older ink and you should be good to go.
Okay. Three ink has become outdated this year but I wonder the problem started so suddenly. I hope this problem disappears after buying new ink cartridges. Because they are not cheap.
In the future I may not be going to use a flush feature. Because I still suspect that the problems started out there.
