Not sure what exactly you are asking.

Do you mean is it possible to print onto any M7 or do you mean can we print for you?

I think you could probably print onto light colours in much the same way as subbing onto polyester shirts.

Inks are expecting to be placed on a white background so colour shift occurs and it's best to stick to single print colours. We use only solid red or black on operation labels / safety signs.

If you are looking for someone to produce for you you might find a local sign firm willing to help.

BTW - the M7 range has just had some new colours added. Metamark will send you a swatch book free of charge.

I am 30 mins from metamark so they are all I use.
Sorry for the confusion, I print myself so was asking if you knew if you could print onto any of the metamark 7 range also if you do print M7 do you laminate them?

Yes, our labels go on to truck bodies so lamination is a must. The mid-yellow is ideal for health and safety stuff and much more vivid, cheaper and quicker than printing yellow onto white digi vinyl.

Been doing this for many years without a problem.

You can solvent, latex and screen print onto Oracal 651. Transparent and white are best.

Lots of printers use it as either a cheap alternative to dedicated digital vinyl or as a way of limiting inventory held.
Long term the results might not be as good. The ink will sit on top of the vinyl, so will not be as abrassion or UV resistant, and due to the high gloss finish the image might lose some clarity and definition.

The cost savings aren't that great, when compared to dedicated digital media, so for high value jobs it is hard to see why you would want to cut corners.

Thanks for the reply, something to have a play with on a slow day, I tend to keep decent size off cuts to use for one offs, small decals and also for quick screen prints !!
Its useful to know that there is always an alternative when its a long weekend !!

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Oracal 651 is more than good enough for long term interior decals, where UV and abrasion is not an issue, or for short term, cheap and cheerful correx signs and site boards. If charging big money for writting a van or shopfront then best stick to digital media.
