Its based on some sign software from about 20 years ago.
Does a good job tracing, but can only import low resolution .jpg files
It won't accept any vector file formats, and the only save option is .wtp which in incompatable with any other software.
We started using it mid 90's, and while we love it because it is familiar, it is a bit stuck in the dark ages.
If all our archive wasn't .wtp format I would cut direct from Corel Draw or Illustrator with the free plug in.
it isn't great software, but not bad either, but the incompatability issue is a big one.
We have 3 licences of v5 - and if yours is v5 and going cheap i might buy it, - but if starting from scratch, i would go down a different route.

Mine is V5 in a USB ..BTW why you need that many licenses ?.. How much you offer for it ?. ..
Cutters are 'local' - so attached direct to a PC by USB.
We 'hot desk' - at logobear, so we either need a cutter attached to each PC, - or would have to swap computers depending on what tasks you need to do.
I have always followed the principal of having belt & braces, - having a 'spare' so don't get caught if let down by tech.
Equipement is generally more reliable now (as is software)
We have just collected cutters, and hence licences as we go.
