So, this morning our Ricoh GX7000 was displaying 'INK COLLECTOR FULL'. Previously it's displayed 'INK COLLECTOR NEARLY FULL' and I've used the well publicised rest procedure yo clear the message and then print. This remedy would only last a few hours or a day!

Today, I switched the printer off and then on again. The green power light displayed for a few milliseconds and the printer would switch off! I tried to switch on several times with the same result :(

I removed the collector unit, emptied the ink and before reinserting I placed a white piece of card beneath the optical sensor - another well publicised trick. After reinserting the collector, I still couldn't power on the printer, same issue, the power light would flash green for a few milliseconds and the printer would switch off!

Anyone else encountered this issue know of s solution?

TIA

John
