If you place a flat edge from handle to the mug surface, then this is the approx thing happening. No pressure near the handle area to achieve a consistent print.
You are right and maybe I got lucky it would need a lot more testing to see.

However if your print is nice and tight and taped well on the mug then the film will hold it in place - even if you go round the handle. Dye sub does not require any real pressure to work. In actual fact the Rio travel mugs from Listawood require no wrap at all when using an oven.

How do you get a Rio travel mug when it's not available for us lesser printers?

Looking on their website it looks like they don’t sell them anymore, I might drop an email to Kris to find out why, if I get an answer I will report back :-)

Not available until well in to the New Year was the response I got, that's pretty grim if you sell this item as I could imagine it is a popular item.
