Printing white on a blue mug.

    Hi Guys.....back again 😔
I have a customer who wants blue mugs with white writing, is this possible as I realise when you print on a white mug any white is not printed, but just mug!!, I would appreciate any help asusual👍
Also I would like to print on Longforte 12oz latte mugs and I realise that the printing area is angled and very different to flat sided mugs, my question is how do I replicate the angled side on a template in PS. TIA guys.

I’m running a Ricoh 3110 with sublisplash inks, Galaxay mug pro 4 in 1 GS203, using paper from Xpres 240mm x100mm

You can't print on blue mugs using sublimation. Screen printing might work but I can't comment on the durability or the cost as I've never screen printed.

As for latte mug templates, these are basically an unrolled truncated cone and you need to warp your image in PS to fit the image area. It's possible to download latte templates that use PS Smart Objects so that you can simply place a rectangular image into the Smart Object and the warping is done automatically.

Thanks for the reply, I will pass that on to my blue mug customer. I will research more on the latte side of things.

Blue background is your best bet but depending on how close to handle etc. you can get if this would be acceptable
    .

Other ideas, blue inside and handle?

    I will chip in with....

Blue mug with white print can be done using my OKI white ;-)

Dishwasher safe and very durable as well - obviously not to the durability of sublimation (nothing is), but not had any complaints yet...!

An OKI is a laser printer that, in this instance, prints CMY and WHITE.

This means I have the ability to print white on to blue (of any other colour) mug.
