    Printwear & Promotion Live 2019

With just over a month to go I'm interested to hear who's visiting P&P in January? Are you specifically looking for certain equipment, going to see particular suppliers?

For the first year the DSF is having it's own stand! Stand A72, just a very small presence but an ideal opportunity to meet with members new and old, discuss any particular problems/issues you're having, anything really. Just head over and say "Hi" It will be great to put some more faces to names.

I've created a poll at the top of this thread so please cast a quick vote when you get a chance and feel free to discuss below.

Great idea having your own stand Justin. Shame I cant get there to say hi to other members.
However there are three shows over here at the start of the year so I wont miss out. Viscom and PSI in January and at end of March ( in exactly 100 days ) is a trade fair held by the biggest catalogue in Germany. All the clothing firms are there as well as many machine/printer suppliers.

Looking for a new solvent printer, so the choice at PandP might be limited. Might go to one of the sign shows in the Spring.

Let me know which way you go with this. I was intending going eco-solvent but went Latex, big mistake.

I have had mixed reports about latex.
The sign shops seem to love them - mainly because there is no need to leave overnight to out gas before laminating or cutting. On the other hand one of the area managers for a major ditributor told be that the the new Roland latex printers were no use for garments. There are serious wash problems with the finished product.

I am leaning toward the Mimaki CJVC150/107. Largely because of the 44" ( 110cm) media width at the similar price to the 30" (75cm) Roland. It will add some versatility to the sign/banner side of the business. I have hardly ever been asked for a sign wider than 1 metre.

If you can get yourselves over the Viscom in January, 8th to 10th, that is the trade fair to go to for Solvent printers.

    Viscom is in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Haha, you're coming on 'Family' Day ;-) I'm looking at freebies but they're not free to me! I'll see what I can do.

Our Latex is sat as a massive paperweight, nothing but trouble since installation, will only print onto HP accredited media unless you want to spend a small fortune getting other media profiled. All in all very disappointing. Don't get me started on the supplier. I can't mention them for legal reasons at this time.
