I just use my hand/fingers to measure from either side and then my eyes. Maybe ask Father Christmas for some glasses .
My wife when pressing uses a steel rule and just measures from the nearest edge of the platten down to the text /logo to see if it is all level.

Equipment used A4 Ricoh printer, HP3085 Heat Press Graphtec cutter, Jarin mug press, CJV 30-60 solvent printer and lots of help from DSF.
Hi Bob,
I think Ive mentioned this before. I use some stable A4 card that I cut square and to the distance I want from the collar to the top position of a print. Usually 14cm down for a one or two line print and 10cm if its a bigger print. Placing this card onto the t-shirt on the platen will ensure a square print and all shirts will be printed in the same place. Same for the front but different distance from the collar.
Simples.....
If you get the t-shirt placed properly then the rest should follow.
Pull the shirt right onto the platen until the shoulder seems touch the edge. That will allow you to gauge how straight the shirt is on the press. When it is square on the platon grab the shoulder seem where it meets the sleeve on each side and pull the shirt into the final possition.
Thanks for the advice guys

Hi Bob,
I press a center crease on the t-shirt, then crease the vinyl in the middle of the design at the top and bottom and just line up with the crease on the t-shirt. I also use the logo it and t-square guides for more accuracy on multiple orders.
