    Planing on getting Oki white!

Ok, so i am about 80% convinced and want one. But i am looking at 2nd hand.
I know as in DTG i would avoid 2nd hand ones but how about lasers? Is there anything i should look for? What should I know before getting used laser printer?
    thanks in advance.

Lasers are very different to DTG in that regular maintenance is not so much of an issue.

The things to look for are page counts on the drums and fuser. Toner is what it is, but if you.are needing to replace drums then it should be factored into the price.

Take a look inside at the belt and make sure it’s nice and clean.

Apart from that, do a few page tests and you are good to go.

If you are planning to use TMT papers then I strongly advise you getting the Space Control software as well. It really makes life a lot easier :-)

The 'consumables' can be shockingly expensive .... new drums & fusers etc

I would check it has only ever been run with genuine toners.

You absolutely MUST have a RIP - TMT or Forever.

You will probably need some hand holding, - why not see if TMT have any 'second user' machines - so you get full support.

I agree with everything that Logobear said, if you dont do as he says then the printer could be an expensive door stop.

    Thank you for your input.
I checked with seller and RIP is FOREVER RIP.
Every drum is at least 50% white drum 75%, all tonners over 70% full.
