Tried to get us a discount with the seller but margin is too tight. Highly recommend them though ;_)

Aye, that's the one I've got bookmarked. I have this awkward cable enclosure running around my walls which reduces the depth of my worktop, preventing a 600mm oven on it...aaaahh nothing is ever straightforward. I'm assuming that you couldn't put a hot oven on an ordinary IKEA laminated table...it would probably melt?
More here though...

Can I say "told you so" yet :-) :-) :-)f you're printing mugs regularly the oven is most definitely the way to go. I haven't switched my presses on in months now.
I can do 72 mugs per hour. I never use my presses these days, even if I only have one mug to do. The mug presses are too unreliable in my opinion in that the blankets will deteriorate with age and way too much hassle to keep monitoring. I also really do not understand this annoying wraps bit either. it literally takes 2 seconds to do and if you get into a run then you do them while the others are printing. Mug wrap £4.00 and lasts about 500 mugs, blanket £30.00 and might last 500 mugs. I do use my press but only for TMT's CPM work these days.we can do 24 mugs in 30 minutes and no annoying wraps to put on and take off. Both have valid uses in our opinion.
Gooner, take a look at how and where mine is situated. This bench is what is known as a nuns dining table (obviously from my past life), it is solid wood with a varnished surface. I placed a bit of table cloth liner on top then plonked the oven down, there are no marks/scratches/melted bits that relate to the oven being on. It does not get that hot on the outside. Further more, you can see the depth of the table is quite narrow and you could actually overhang if you wanted to. If you want to see a different angle to the oven or table let me know.Aye, that's the one I've got bookmarked. Trust me guys, as I said to Jason and Justin, buy an oven and you will never look back. Both will confirm that it is one of their best investments... :-)
My only gripe is that I need to either find or get some bespoke trays made. The ones that are supplied are really flimsy and after tens of thousands of mugs they really are at their end of life.

Also, Gooner I thought it was you who put me on to this particular oven. The key thing to look at is internal dimensions. I did a lot of working out on paper before going with this particular model as I wanted to be able to get sufficient amount of mugs in.Aye, that's the one I've got bookmarked.
With this model I am pretty sure that if I got some side bars made you may even be able to get 36 mugs printing in one go.

You did indeed thanks, it was the depth issue which made me look for other possibilities. But your measurements look about 8cm shorter than the advertised dimensions. Look, sod the halogen oven experiment, I'm going to order this Blizzard instead and will have a hunt for other baking trays for you.
This thread is even make me think about testing the water with ovens....

There's nothing like a 2 month old Adkins blanket almost causing a nasty fire yesterday to get your finger out and buy the Blizzard oven. What were you saying about unreliable presses social?!

Justin will have the "wrap a mug in under 2 seconds" challenge at P&P. Going to start practicing as I really want to win the cash prize he is sponsoring :-)
Glad you have decided to move over, there will be a little bit of fiddling, but no where near as much as with a press. The below is cut and pasted from an email I sent to Jason and Justin which will give you a start...
You can see where I have my dial on the images posted. It might be worth Justin and Jason posting their settings so we can compare...

The more mugs the longer the time, 24 mugs take 16-18 minutes for me (depending on how cold the mugs are before they go in). Don’t forget to let the oven warm up for about 15 minutes before starting your first mug.
Make sure the bleed is a max of 2mm top and bottom. I personally have no bleed at the top and 1mm at the bottom. Too much bleed and you will get the ink dispersing over the exposed areas of the mug (i.e under the handle).
Always make sure the mug paper is longer than the wrap. Mine is cut to 240mm wide although I should probably do it a few mm shorter.
Below is a link to the thermoshrinkable. I have linked the mugs, but there are other sizes. Cheap as chips J

The seller I got my wraps from does not have any at the mo, however the below work out at £4.30 each so still pretty good

I clean the wraps about every thousand mug prints. To do this just put them all in the oven, turn the temp up to full what and “cook em” for about half an hour. Hold your breath when you take them out!

Haha, wrap a mug in under 2 seconds. You'll have to wrap a box of 36 to get any money out of me! ...and can you print them as well please, ta very much.
Seriously though, many thanks to Simon for funding the food and drink throughout the show. I believe he's put money 'behind the bar' in the restaurant area so you just go up to the staff and say "I've just seen a flying pig dressed as a rainbow unicorn....and I hear Simon's put his hand in his pocket!!!" and they give you a free escort out of the NEC ;-)
Back on track.....the ovens really are good. I expected to have to play around with settings for a while but after a couple of mugs it was fine. Switch on your single head press after a few weeks of using this and you'll see what a faff it is and the results speak for themselves.
