We're getting grey dots all over our sublimation prints on the SG400... which is, therefore, coming out on products we print too.

Just looks like dithering to me. What size and DPI are your images?
They're rather pretty high resolution.... Any ideas how to fix this as it's coming out on the products? :) Thanks!

Maybe you could try altering the dithering settings.
Not sure about the SG400, but my Ricoh SG3110DN printer driver allows me to change the dithering type.
Only other thing I can think of is to replace the sky in Photoshop.
Thank you, I can't seem to find it at the moment however i'll have another look tonight when i'm back.
Could you share your solution if you find one? I'm having the same problem with the SG800.
I'm using the VPM with hotfolders, there's no option to change the dithering...
I'm still having issues with my SG400 at the moment with colours. If i fix it i'll let you know :(
Have you tried ditching VPM and just print directly from your graphics software using an ICC profile? Photoshop, Coreldraw, Gimp and Illustrator all support ICC profiles.
Cleaning all your print heads might solve it... It's solved my problems.
Then run a nozzle check.
Also making sure the setting are correct so go though the " Install SG400/SG800 youtube video " and just check that all that is spot on.
