Do you have an ICC profile installed?
What software are you printing from?
We are using Corel Draw.
We tried to download ICC but couldnt get it to load - any better sites to download from????
Also we cant get it to print directly from Corel Draw we have to save to PDF and print from there
We are also using after market refillable print cartridges are not being recognised by printer - (2 are and 2 not) - Im thinking it maybe the chip on the cartridge
Seems you have multiple issues here.
First of all, only use inks from a reputable supplier who will also supply you with the correct ICC profile for their inks which will at least put you in the correct ball park regarding colours.
I don't use Coreldraw, just Photoshop, but the process is basically the same. You must set your graphics software to manage colours (via the installed ICC), and set your Ricoh printer driver to NOT manage colours.
Incidentally, what items have you tried printing onto? Mugs? T-shirts? The print from your printer will always be way off colour, you need to press the print to reveal the actual colours.

I create most of my templates in Corel, and then export to PDF as I have found it better to print from a PDF, but I do not do photo's so I find it works for me on lettering/cartoons fine. As webtrekker says, until you have pressed, colours on the paper look nothing like they do when they are printed.

What colour space are you using?
Although it sounds counter intuitive your printer works in RGB not CMYK. Make sure that Corel is set to RGB.

Thanks for your reply. We are just setting up so havent actually printed anything yet - but are aware that the colours are off. We are about to order new ink so will ask for ICC then
How can you know if colours are off if you haven’t printed anything?

Equipment used A4 Ricoh printer, HP3085 Heat Press Graphtec cutter, Jarin mug press, CJV 30-60 solvent printer and lots of help from DSF.
The colours are dark but nothing has been printed yet.
I’m assuming they mean nothing has been pressed yet?
I would press something to test, the colours on paper are nothing like the pressed result!
Hi we have purchased new inks and have ICC code but are still having problems printing
We are getting banding on the print. We have tried head alignment on the high speed high quality the test print shows 3 rows of boxes but the figure on the top line to the left of zero looks like double vision. Everything to right is fine
thanks in advance
