A3 Dye sub printer which one to buy secondhand or new inkjet to convert

My Ricoh 7000 gxe A3 dye sub printer has a power problem, if I can't get it fixed which sub £200 printer should I consider?
either a second hand dye sub or a new or nearly new inkjet to convert.
    Thanks
    Denis

Talk with inkexperts.co.uk perhaps. Their knowledge and support is second to none.

Depends on level of use needed. P600 is good if you want them run ing a good few hours a day. Ecotank need regular resets so would be good for a handful of prints a day.

Is this on a specific printer? Never had to reset anything on mine and refilled tanks a few times?

Ecotank would need a ink pad replacement as it becomes full, but you can solve that with a PrinterPotty and a reset key for the software, then you would just need to empty the ink pot once full, works out a lot better if you are printing a lot. But, you will be able to do a lot of printing before you see this warning from new. They are great printers if you can get a good ICC working alongside it, depending on your ink choice.

We tried 3 of the A4 Eco Tanks but we weren't getting past 2 weeks without having to get reset codes. In fairness we were putting through large volumes where they would basically be printing for around 6 hours a day. Printed well enough and if you have a few prints going through an hour I am sure they would tick along for sometime. Would have no problem recommending for that level. Higher volumes the P600 is great. A3 Ecotank isn't far off the cost of P600 and understood it would have been similar on resetting so didn't try.
