    T-shirt / apparel supplier

    Hi

I'm pretty new to sublimation and vynal printing. I have found plenty of sublimation suppliers but not many for t-shirts, hoodies etc. I'm currently using absolute apparel but I have a customer wanting long sleeve t-shirts in a range of colours, unfortunately, the collour selection for youths is very small.

I'm off the the printing convention at NEC in a few weeks and also Autumn fair. Hoping to find a couple of new suppliers but I thought you folks could perhaps help me.

    Thanks in advance

    Dave

Ralawise worth checking out, many clothing suppliers appear to be short on stock nowadays (Brexit to blame as always)

Very little choice in kids longsleeve colours from any of the main brands. Most just stick to the basic black/white/blue/red/grey range.

Russel HD range is available in kids longsleeve in some interesting colours, but at a price.

Ladies sizes could work, but unfortunately they tend to come with a scoop neckline these days instead of a crewneck.

You aren’t looking to sublimate clothing are you? You would be restricted to white only, well any coloured items would affect the final colour finish. Or are you looking for clothing for vinyl?
I use Prestige Lesuire or Pencarrie.

    Brexit to blame as always
I hate that I am hearing this myself.

As an ardent remainer no one can convince me that leaving the EU is worthwhile. However whenever I hear "blame Brexit" right now I point out that we haven't left yet and ordering anything right now should (and is) exactly the same as it has been for the past 40 odd years, its a really poor excuse.

Much of this industry relies on the brands being able to move stock to and fro where it is needed. I am getting the impresion that no more is being held in this country than is needed in case they have to pay 12% WTO duty to get it back out.

That may well be for the brands but the likes of Prestige and Pencarrie wouldn’t need to move stock back and forth through the WTO as they mainly sell to UK okay maybe Ireland but mainly UK. Or are you saying that Gildan, Fruit of the loom or AWD plus the others will not ship to the UK large quantities but the bare minimum just in case?

This is how I saw his post...

Ralawise (for example) work on a just in time delivery schedule. Their place is huge and well worth a visit if you ever get the opportunity, but there is no way they can accommodate large stock of everything they sell. They would need a factory the size of Bristol.

They rely on FOTL (for example) supplying the stock exactly when they need it and it is them who are keeping levels relatively low.

Couple that with the usual problems and that is why.
