    marks on rock slate

    I have an issue but only on rock slate. when tilted to the light there are marks, can anyone suggest a fix i have tried rubbing alcohol. seems embedded in

    That looks like the texture of the paper imprinting into the surface

    I currently using the supplier guide which is 185 c and for 360 seconds. What would you suggest Paul sorry I'm new to this process.

    those guide only. you will need to find what works best for you.
    I would suggest dropping the temp down to 180C and see if it improve. if you find that coating doesn't stick any more but the image is not printed properly, increase the time a bit.

    I tried 175c but kept the time the same. Nothing changed. thanks mate I'll drop a bit more and have a play about. Been told to press upside down will image paper facing the silicon and heat the back. Like I say I'm new lol

    Another little tip until you get it right, break a slate into say 4 pieces that way you won't waste as many while experimenting.
