BARGAIN ON EBAY - Epson 8000 for only £650!!!!

I know this is in incredible condition as I went to view it myself as it is for sale only about half a mile from us at RNLI head quarters.
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/113940800655

If we had the space then I would of bought it when it was at a higher price and still laughed.

Now the starting bid is £650 (12 hours left on bid with no bidders) BUT I have contact details of the guy at RNLI so you could make him an even lower offer perhaps.

IT DOES NEED TO BE COLLECTED HENCE WHY NO ONE IS PROBABLY BIDDING.

Honestly, this retails for £3-4k!!! Although it doesn't come with ink but who cares at this price. I say that but the guy was going to throw a couple of carts he found at me if I took it so you might get lucky as well.

PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE BUY IT JUST TO MAKE ME JEALOUS.

I nearly bid for it, but it is 73 inches wide and 135 kg. It's not getting up my stairs.

Yes it's a beast but wow a B A R G A I N. I just know that we don't have time to market large fine art prints (nor how to post them!) so it would be a rather larger paper weight for us sadly.

I was pondering this last night, so to avoid the fear of having to replace massively expensive cartridges (not sublimation), I can send it out to my lab who can print 90 x 30 inch prints and post them out. If I ever needed anything that big...but who does anyway?

It didn't sell - the guy actually emailed me this morning basically saying we can have it for a song. I can't sing!

They are a worthy charity. You should be offering a grand at least. You know it's the right thing to do in your heart. ;)

Ha Ha I must admit the people who save lives get my total respect - but they don't get paid. I did some contracting a few years ago (with my software engineering hat on) and I couldn't believe how many HUNDREDS of people they employ in the vast number of buildings here in Poole just doing admin and marketing. Apparently they are having major funding problems because all the donations go on salaries and pensions apparently and people are wising up. Sadly their print department was given the axe hence why they are selling off lots of equipment.

Has anyone converted one for subli and managed to get a decent profile to run?
