    T shirts

    Hi everyone,

How does someone new start with ordering t shirts for sublimation printing i.e. order beforehand and have some stock in house, or order them as per any requests?

I will be working from home/garage.

Will be working on printing mugs too - and seen the 5013s so will order these for that purpose.

Any suggestions on where to find best t-shirts and in what quantities to start off with according to your experience would be well received. PMs are most welcome.

    Thanks
    Adam

Stick holding depends on the scope of your business. If you are only offering one line of white sub tees then you can probably afford to hold some stock. If you are offering a full range of garments, colours and styles then holding stock on all but the basics is costly.
So long as you are busy enough to order regularly then let someone else hold the stock and make regular carriage paid orders. The only time that falls down is when you have to order one or two garments and pay carriage on them.

Hi Pat, thanks for the reply.

Yes it will be plain white Tee's and just looking to personalise one at a time per customer order rather than business scale for businesses that may need 10+ (as working from home) so not sure if I should also be looking at trying to find work from business

Have a look to see if there’s a local supplier close by.

I have a penCarrie about a 4 minute drive from my place so if I need to get T-shirts and things like that I can just pop up and collect them.

you might have an mdp office near you or another supplier you could collect from to save some pennies on stock.

the only items I stock in large qty is mugs, coasters and mousemats.
oh and printable vinyl, clings etc.

I learnt pretty quickly times change and what you sell a lot of one minute might change at the drop of a hat and become a dead stock.
so don’t get ahead of yourself and print say 100 mugs or T-shirts because if it doesn’t sell your stuck with them.

I will actually look for a local supplier with polyester Tees. Based in West Yorkshire so many of the suppliers seem far away

    Thanks again

ho ! I even did not think about finding a local T-shirts suppliers.
It's a good idea, because some online web suppliers may take long time to prepare and send them. And i guess final customers don't want to wait additional 15 days.
