    Uk cutters Smurf HWQ330

Hi all my first question on here and yes Im a newbie. I have the above machine which is a used one and cannot get it to communicate with my laptop. I have plugged it all in correctly and it switches on and cuts a test rectangle if I press the test button on the panel of the cutter.
I bought Sure cuts a lot 4 pro and in the cutters section I cannot find UK Cutters, Smurf nor HWQ330. Im guessing the drivers havent been installed but what ones do I choose to install from the list in SCAL 4?
    TIA
    Kenny

Hi. I believe the make of your cutter is actually Vicsign HWQ330 so you need to be looking under Vicsign in the, Manage Cutters, dialoge of SCAL. I have SCAL 5 and I know that Vicsign HWQ can be selected in there.

Have a look at this page - http://startup.ukcutter.co.uk/English/smurf.html

You don't need a driver, but you must follow the instructions at the top of the page. They only describe using it with CorelDraw, SignCut, etc, but there's definitely a setting in SCAL too (at least there is in version 5).
