Hi all

I need to do roll-to-roll printing on non-woven material (70 gsm spunbond polypropylene or SBPP) as part of a manufacturing process and I'm not sure if dye-sublimation is the way to go.

The print is standard (not customisable), in black text, and will be for labeling rather than for advertising. The ink needs to be durable in moist conditions, breathable, and should dye the fabric itself as opposed to sitting on top of it. The material is initially supplied on rolls with a 76mm core and will be made into bags after printing. (The final bags have widths of 149-250 mm).

If dye sublimation is appropriate, are there any printers that could be recommended?
If not, are there other printing methods could work better for the intended application?

Thank you!
