    Epson L805 need profile

    Hi Guys,

    Looking for Santa,

I purchased a Epson L805 printer a few weeks back and did not have the chance to install it until today, by then I realised I do not have the right profile sent.
I need the profile for Coreldraw I was sent the profiles for Gimp cannot get my head around that, the software that is. Photoshop and a couple of others which I do not have the software for.

Unfortunately for me the lads are closed for Christmas is there any other way of getting the profile before they return in January.

    Ho..Ho..Ho.

    Russ.

Where did you buy from? Profile should be the same for all software.

    Hi Justin,

Ink experts is where I bought it from, although I have been sent a profile the pdf instructions only relate to Gimp, Photoshop & Serif affinity.
I downloaded Gimp on the off-chance that I might be able to get the hang of it ( it's not for me ) and the other two I do not have. The software I have used for the past 15 years is a sign-makers package and Coreldraw has a very close feel. I am hoping to design in my software and just use the Coreldraw to sent to print with the icc profile.

Reading between the lines I think what you are saying my sent icc profile will work with Coreldraw, unfortunately I do not have the print set-up guides, so I guess it's the set-up guides I need and not the profile.

The profile for GIMP should be an ICC file - this installs in Windows (assuming you are using Windows rather than MAC).

Download the.icc file onto your computer - it doesn't matter where, could be your desktop or downloads folder, as long as you remember for a moment where you put it.

Locate where you downloaded the .icc profile and then right click on it to install to Windows - takes less than a second.

Now open CorelDraw and start a new blank document. Type a letter or draw a shape - anything just to give the page some content.

Go to File - Print and select your Epson L805 printer.

Now click on the Colour tab and make sure it says: Colour conversions performed by CorelDraw, Output Colours RGB and then under Correct Colours using colour profile click on the drop down box and choose your newly installed .icc file.

Now click on the pre-press tab and tick the mirrir image box (optional but saves having to do it manually each print).

Finally, click Apply to save your settings

    Hey...Shout-out to Justin & StellaD

I think I have it installed correctly, colours are a lot closer to my original sample, but need to sort out the greys.

Cannot do any more tonight as I have to make my way down many chimneys later-on

Your help today is really appreciated, I am very grateful.

    Russ.
