I've heard a lot about sublimation on polyester and was just wondering if you could also sublimate on 50-70gsm spunbond polypropylene (a non woven material)?

I would think you could. Might have to fiddle with the heat level and time as I believe it is quite a thin material but should take a print. How well though is a different question.
try ironing a sample with domestic iron on hottest setting ... what happens to it?

Fabric wholesalers send out samples (usually free) - so get a sample and test it.
