Opinions on Epson ET-7750 or Epson ET-14000 or Sawgrass SG800

Hi we are looking at upgrading our A3 sublimation printer. The options are the Epson ET-7750 or ET-14000 or the Sawgrass SG800. Can anyone give me pros and cons of these printers and which one they use if any good. Kind regards in advance.

Anything with Eco tanks effectively puts the Sawgrass out of the game, if you are buying a new printer. Very good quality ink for the Epson costs less than £60 litre. Genuine carts for the Sawgrass work out at over £1300 per litre ( although you can get good non genuine ink for similar price to the Epson ink, you will need to use refilable carts. They are a pain.)

Both the Epson printers are half the price of the Sawgrass.

The ET7750 and Sawgrass are only A3. The Et 14000 is A3+. The extra size can be useful.

The ET 7750 is a multi function printer. You will be paying for a scanner that will be of very little use with sublimation ink. People who use ( non eco tank) versions of Epson multifunction printerssuch as the 7720 etc report good quality prints but generaly shorter life cycle when compared to single function Epson photo printers.

The ET14000 is top quality. It is a 4 colour photo printer based on the internals of the old 6 colour Epson 1500w, with an eco tank system fitted. The 1500w was a top quality printer that was very well made and capable of a high duty cycle. There is no reason for the ET 14000 not to be as good as the 1500w. Search for the 1500w on the forum to get some idea of the regard with which it is held.

Of the three printers you have mentioned the Et 14000 is the best choice. It is also the cheapest and less than half the price of the Sawgrass.

Having said that, if you can justify the extra £100 then consider upgrading to the Epson L1800. It is the same as the ET14000 except that it has 6 colours. Effectively it is a direct eco tank replacement for the old 1500w.
The L1800 isn't available in the UK, but the guys at Ink Experts have managed to source some from the EU.
