    Slates

    Hi,
Looking to get some slate items in and was wondering has anyone had good/bad experience/recommendation for suppliers?
Has anyone had experience with Neil brothers's slates, prices seem competitive. http://www.buysublimation.co.uk/subl...oto-gifts.html
    Thanks

Neil Brothers prices are very competitive on everything. Trouble is they are very much 'old school' suppliers. They have higher minimum orders than most and sell in carton lots. you might be better off starting elsewhere until you know what sells best for you.

Thanks PW66, we know what we are after and their quantities would be fine normally. But just wanted to know if anyone had any issues with their Slates. We have been ordering from Coralgraph and a few others who all appear to be using Bestsub slates. I cant tell with Neil brothers without ordering and as you say the quantities that they need you to order dont allow me to "check". But were just looking around for pricing options and they were coming up good. Thanks

They don't do samples, so it's very much, 'try a box and see for yourself'...but with your £500 plus VAT and delivery order!

They supply some of the smaller suppliers, so you might be able to make a test purchase from someone else by searching for copied descriptions and product images.

We've used them, as they are one of few suppliers who don't run out at peak times like Christmas. No issues, and appear to be the same slates all other suppliers have - except that could just be all the Chinese factories copying each other.
They have a few different websites, each with different unit price and MOQ, some with free shipping others additional delivery charge, so work out which works best for you for your order level. All delivered on pallet, so less chance of damage in shipping.

This is their 'free shipping' site, but you'll pay an extra 10-20p extra per mug compared to the other site. So it works out roughly the same, only the minimum is a £300 spend rather than £500.

There prices are great and they're not too far from me in Worcester. I would like to purchase a load of Slates, Durham mugs and Tote bags from them but not £500 worth. Just a thought but wouldn't it be worth a few of us in the West Midlands clubbing together and splitting the cost. I would be prepared to drive to them in Birmingham and collect a big order and then meet up with fellow forum members to share the goods accordingly.
