    Mug Template

Hi all, just wondering if anyone had any pointers on creating a template for 11oz mugs?

I want to print full top to bottom and I remember seeing a tutorial where it was advised to achieve this you should create a template that's slightly bigger than you need? ie. with a bleed allowance I guess?

Also, I don't know how close I can print to the handle - any tips?

    Thanks very much!

It depends on your mug press as to how close you can go to the handle and also your mugs as to whether you can go top to bottom with a mug press. Most people would use an oven for full top to bottom coverage and therefore you can also get very close to the handle with this method. Not so with a mug press. So really this question of yours cannot be answered without knowing your equipment and if you have equipment then why not do a test print to see.

For mug templates, I think im probably on my own here, but i am using Photopad. When i start a new design i go to File-New and it asks for a size of the page. I select 2184 x 964 and this seems to work well. It leaves room at the edges for bleed. Like i say im probably the only one using it but I would love to know if other members have tried it or use it.
