ICC Profile for Epson et 2650 with Inktec Sublinova Smart Inks

After previously for past 5 years using Ricoh and Sawgrass printers I have now purchased an Epson et 2650.

The ICC Profiles supplied with the printer and inks are producing poor quality results with the colours looking extremely light and far off the colours they should be.

I would be very grateful if anyone does have an ICC Profile that I could try that would be suited to the Epson et 2650 with Inktech Sublinova Smart Inks?

Alternatively if anyone can recommend someone or a company that can create a custom ICC Profile for me?

    Thanks Sam

I purchased the printer and inks from Ink Experts.

The ICC Profile that was supplied with this produced poor results and so they sent me over another 6 ICC Profiles to try all of which were no good with almost identical results between them all. Colours being very light with no vibrancy and some colours just very off.

Have you turned off colour management/adjustments in the Epson printer driver?
Are you set with Photoshop Manages Colours in the PS print dialog?

Yes photo shop manages colours in print dialogue and colour management is turned off On the Epson printer driver., all have been double checked multiple times.

You'd be best asking InkExperts what settings were used in making the ICC - as you will need to have the same

the paper setting in the Epson driver dictates the amount of ink used
The print quality setting will also affect things
Also the transfer paper ideally needs to be the same that they used for the ICC too

And then, the substrate you are printing to will affect the resulting colours too - ideally you'll want an ICC for each product type.

(Hoping I'm right in assuming the only inks in the printer are the Sublinova, and there is not a mix of pre-existing Epson inks in there. And that you are judging the colours on the sublimated product and not the transfer papers, and that you have done a nozzle check on the printer to know all the colour channels are printing properly.)

Yes all printer, driver settings are correct and nothing wrong with printer itself.

i understand each ICC profile is created for use with a specific ink, paper type and substrate all of which I am using with the correct ICC Profile. In my opinion I just think that the ICC Profiles are not very good which I have read has been the case with other individuals using the suppliers generic ICC Profiles although it should not be the case.

Does anyone have any ICC profiles I could try that would possibly give better results even if not perfect?

    thanks

It may be they aren't good - you will be best off buying your own ICC profiling kit if you want to do things properly
