Need help with printers having a hissy fit

I know it’s not the printer as it’s happened to three separate printers so it must be a windows error.
it happens on my regular inkjet too not just the sub printer but not the laser printer.

If I set for example a set of mug templates to print 2 per page and I print any amount be it one page or fifty pages, (same design) I get an issue where the printer prints anything from 2 inches in up to 1 inch from finishing and spits out the print job and starts over.

    Things I have noticed.
The amount of print is not prefixed it can vary every time
Its not every page it can be page one or page 20
It can also be several pages each printing a different amount.
Sometimes it will print fine and not a single issue.
When I set say 10 pages it may actually print 15 pages with 3 pages wasted with the issue.

Not sure what the hell is going on but things I have tried.
    Disabled firewall
Closed all non essential running services.
    cleared cache
    Rebooted and started print job.
Tried printing from photoshop, Corel, Windows picture viewer, word all the same.

It’s not an issue for plain paper but printing sub paper gets expensive when I’m throwing anything up to 20 sheets for a pack of 100 :(

Also checked for driver issues and re installed driver on all printers but still happening.
    Win 10.
