    ricoh aficio sg3110dn

    Hi i hope someone will be able to help me with my printer.
    I have just got a second hand aficio sg3110dn and when i go to print some think its printing with black and yellow lines up and down.
    I have youtubed it and it says i have to clean the heads and says to do this i have to use the menu buttons on the printer but they also dont seam to be working.
    hope some one will be able to help me with this.

    Wow! That's really bad!

    You may have been sold a duff printer.

    You're only getting black and yellow because they are the only nozzles working, and even then they aren't great. You need to do some head cleans and print a few heavy images to try and get some ink through, but it doesn't look too good to me.

    Thanks i have dose some head cleans but when i get so far through then i get a red light on the printer saying my ink is empty and i have to replace them.
    i have checked the ink and they are all full

    Are they refillable cartridges and have you left the rubber venting plugs open? The cartridges need to vent to the atmosphere otherwise the inks won't run freely through the ink lines.

    Hi the little rubber plugs on the top of the cartridge are closed and yeas they are refillable ones
