Pigment ink for heat transfers onto cotton

    Hi all.

I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out where to find some good pigment ink.

I've settled on an Epson 7210 with a CIS, because I don't think the Ecotanks can use pigment ink.

The Americans have it easy because they have Cobra Inks, but over here it doesn't seem to be so easy to sort out.

    I've encountered this: http://www.inkforinkjet.co.uk/shop/t...epson-desktop/
... but the website is awful, which doesn't inspire confidence.

    Then this: http://www.inktec-uk.co.uk/inkjet_ink.htm
.... but again, a confusing website which reminds me of GeoCities.

Does anyone know of non-Chinese pigment ink for heat transfers onto cotton?

Try here: https://www.cityinkexpress.co.uk/che...rkforce-series and skip down to the Pigment Inks selection.

I've use CIE (sublimation) inks for a number of years and they are a decent company to deal with.

I had a look at them, but I think their Fotorite pigment ink is Chinesy.

I use his inks all the time and find them to be the best I've used. He (Ken) is very helpful.

Are you using an Epson for pigment heat transfers?

Sorry, I was a bit misleading, I use his sublimation inks. I use my Cannon printers fo tees with dye based ink and papers from PPD - had no problems with fading.

I’m intrigued what’s pigment ink for?
    How do you use it?

    Crikey O'Reilly - now I'm getting confused
I thought that dye wasn't suitable for cotton because it's water-soluble and therefore will wash out and run.

You found the Windows 95 version. Here's the up to date one.

    https://www.inktec-europe.com/

They do good pigment inks, but finding the right one for your printer will be tricky.

I think it's two separate businesses, with one based in Scotland and the other in Oxfordshire.
Contacted the former and no answer yet, so will contact the latter.
    Thanks for the info.
