    Printer for Prints and Sublimation

Hi everyone I am new and have got some great tips from you all already so I wanted to say thanks.

I think I know the answer to this but I wanted to check anyway. I am looking at getting a L805 (Sublimation) and a Canon 10s (prints) But I was wondering if there was anyone of doing this with one device efficiently or as I guess there is no option but to get the 2.

    Hi
Your right in your assumption ;)
They are different inks so you would need two different printers.

If you were looking to save money. Could you buy the L805 for sublimation, then outsource your prints to a lab?

Thanks, I currently use a company to do both the mugs and prints and just want to bring them in house if you will. Such a pain relying on them for the product. I guess I will buy the Sub printer first and get the other soon.

Hi. I understand your logic but be aware that bringing your sublimation products 'in-house' isn't simply a case of buying a printer and press (or oven) and banging out your own mugs. There's a lot of experimenting to do before you start getting results good enough for selling, and many things can go wrong when sublimating on a daily basis. You'll have great days when everything goes right, and orhers that leave you ripping your hair out!

My advice?........ Buy a wig! ;-)
