I got one this week, installed it yesterday. A Ricoh SG3110DN died and they are discontinued now.

It's OK but it has some flaws. The driver was a nightmare to install. In the end I cheated by installing it as a network printer and changing the port back to USB in the driver.

It uses an interface called Print Manager (replacing Power Driver) which is so darn slow and clunky. I really don't like it at all.

Also, we use pre-cut mug paper and it leaves a massive 6mm white border. This means if you are doing full coverage mugs there's going to be a good deal missing. The SG3110DN only left 3mm white borders which was perfect.

I'm also struggling to stop it from skewing the paper. I don't no how many times I have reloaded and wiggled the paper to try and get it to feed straight.

I came here today hoping someone would know how to get rid of the massive borders....

I don't like the sound of all that faffing about I think I'll look at the SG400 while they're still available, the old Ricoh GX range never missed a beat and powerdriver on a CD, happy days all this online loading drivers does my head in

I believe the SG400 also used the Virtuoso Print Manager software. I you only print small volumes it would be OK.

No CD with the SG500, just a download link. You'll be lucky to find an SG400 now, although there's probably a few knocking around. Even if the software is on CD, it's still the clunky Virtuoso Print Manager.
