Lightbulb HELP! Can I print on sticker paper/vinyl with my sublimation inks ?

    Hi all,

My names Frankie I'm new to the business I recently bought a starter kit with epson printer for sublimation from inkexperts and a heat press from signzworld.
I'm having plenty of luck with sublimating tshirt ok, My question is now is it possible to print normal sticker paper/vinyl microporous with sublimation for packaging of a product. I have designed a package for a company and just did a test print today, when i stuck the sticker down the ink came off in my hand :/

Is there anybody on here able to advise if im doing something wrong or if it's even possible with sublimation inks ?

Hi Frankie, I believe you have to use a special vinyl with a sublimation coating. Not sure who stocks it nowdays, maybe worth doing a google search for UK suppliers. BMS used to do some, but can't see it on their site now. Probably easier just doing it on a different inkjet or laser printer with normal inks, or get some made by someone who owns a print and cut machine like a versacamm. Hope you manage to find a solution.
