Mother in law has decided she wants an embroidery machine but supplies??

With vinyl and sublimation it’s easy to find a decent supplier but when it comes to embroidery I have no idea.

Is there any dedicated and recommended sites for embroidery supplies like mdp is for vinyl etc.
i have an account at pencarrie which is 6 mins away from me but the range is limited at best.

So if anyone has a recommendation for supplies it would be greatly received.

She was looking at a brother v3 but has decided to go for a bigger machine now @4k

    Hi Mrteajunkie,
We use ETC supplies for alot of our stuff like the backings, The other one we use is BSK which is bedford sewing and knitting, who are a brother dealer, they stock threads and stuff,

hope that helps or at least give you somewhere to start looking.

Another vote for ETC here. They're pretty good. Barnyarns are worth a look too.

Not sure if you have got her sorted out or not yet, but for a starter I would use Doris Derby, https://www.embroideredjust4u.co.uk/ she offers start up packs. Is it an industrial machine she is using or a home (like a normal machine but with embroidery table) There are so many groups on FB, but the original UK embroidery machine page is great for people starting out.

My two big machines will not run the thread from ETC which is a shame, they work perfectly well on my smaller machine though!

I buy direct from Madeira or Gunold but as Im in Germany its easier. They are the manufacturers and have the backings too. Their prices should be lower than buying from a middle man.
