The press I currently have struggles with images 2.5 inches wide so just wondering if this one is any better than that. I use the oven usually but looking for a better press for one offs.

The mug press mentioned in this thread won’t be any good at getting close to the handle. I had a few of these and after a few days the nuts started falling out every so often no matter how tight you do them.

I think the best mug press for getting close to the handle is the adkins mug press that xpres sell but they’re not cheap if you’re just planning on having it as a ‘spare’ and you’ll never get as close to the handle as you will with an oven.

We usually just fill the oven with ‘dummy’ mugs (ie blank mugs that have chips in them) and still run the oven for the full time if we only have a couple of mugs to do.

I have this press now and just tried it, the pressure it really tight even with the centre bolt as far back as it goes on an 11oz mug. Is there any other adjustment to be made to reduce pressure?

As mentioned we bought the press and had the same issue. Just changed mug suppliers and the 11oz mugs are very slightly smaller in diameter and work well in the press.
