    Epson L805 Firing Blanks

I had a problem with my L805 sending paper straight through without printing anything. A chat with the everhelpful Alex at Print Experts resolved it. Just run a load of blank plain paper through to clean the rollers.

Although that works, I found it tedious to keep pumping them through. So, I opened Notepad and typed an asterisk with the font set to 4 and printed fifteen sheets. This leaves an almost invisible mark on the paper so it can be reused and keeps the printer clean fron the residue left by sublimation papers.

I do this every Monday morning and have had no problems since.

I hope someone finds this helpful.

You can buy low tack clean up sheets, if it becomes a regular problem.

On my A3+ printers I use a sheet of medium tack htv backing, with about 3" of htv left on the leading edge to facilitate feeding.
