    Canvas Photo Printing

    Hi All

    New member here :)

Been reading lot of advice on the forum and i can't tell you how useful this is for some one starting up.

I'm starting up a small print business and planning to do sublimation (mugs, coasters etc.) and photo printing.

I've done a bit of research and decided on SG-1000 and contemplating on the printer that can handle printing on Canvas, photo paper.. HP Design Jet Z6 looks good and within my budget. Does anyone here use that printer or can suggest suitable alternatives?

    much appreciated...

We used to use the HP Z2100 for canvas (still have it) which is superb but ideally the canvas needs varnishing afterwards for protection. We switched to printing canvas through out Latex machine which does away with the need to varnish as they dry immediately and are scratch and water proof.

I don't know anything about the HP you mention but if it's anything like our 44" Z2100 it will be excellent and very cheap to run.

That’s great to hear. Will do some research around latex printers. Do you Recommend buying 44’ (opposed to 24’) when starting up?

Our Z printer is 44" and is very useful. Our Latex is 54" so even better. Looking to rehome if you're interested.
