    Sublimating white cast acrylic

Hi all, when sublimating on my acrylic blanks, although the print looks fine they are losing their glossy finish and look more matte?! Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Hi. Are you covering your transfer with anything when pressing (eg. teflon sheet, baking sheet, ....)? If so, the texture of these sheets transfers to the soft surface of the hot acrylic. Same thing happens if you weight them down after pressing with books or other heavy stuff to keep them flat.

Hi yes I use teflon however its not an imprint as such it's more like a matte residue that's left on the acrylic that makes it appear matte

Could be residue from the sublimation paper. Try some different papers.
