Mug template, lining up double sided designs

Hi, Please can anyone help me with a mug template for 10 oz xpres mugs? I'm trying to do double sided designs but finding the placement does not always look correct.

I measured the mugs as 26cm (including the handle area), so halved that to find the centre and half again to find the centre of the side. I then used this to centre my designs.

Is this how you find the centre of the side of the mug to line your designs up to, or should I not include the handle?

Any help would be great, thank you.

That only works if your wraps are also 26cm in length. A real easy method is to take a blank wrap, or a sheet of copy paper cut to the size of a wrap, then wrap your mug with it and mark the actual centres. Remove this wrap and measure from the edges to your marks and use those measurements for positioning your guides in Photoshop, or whatever graphics software you use.
