Help! Need to improve subli quality

    Hi all,

I've been trying to sublimate onto some ceramic stars bought from Signzworld. Approx 8cm

I've tweaked the heat, the time and the pressure but am still getting a poor result.

The image just isn't sharp, a bit fuzzy.

Do I need longer? Hotter? More pressure?

Currently at 180oC, 180 seconds, medium to high pressure.

Thanks very much for any advice

I should probably also mention that I have no issues with pressing onto other items using the same ink, paper and press.

In my experience a fuzzy image normally means it's been pressed too long. But I never managed to get ceramic ornaments to print correctly, I gave up and switched to aluminium!

Fuzzy could also mean not enough pressure. Perhaps try and soft pad in between the platen and paper to give it that wee bit of "softness" allowing the paper to mold better if the surface is uneven.
