    Black Mugs

I've always avoided white panelled black mugs because I didn't think I would be happy with two different blacks beside each other. Has anyone got a precise colour match for these as a starting point?

With white oki printers, is there a way to get a dishwasher safe white text on a non-sub pure black mug?

Don't know about OKI, but sandblasting/sandcarving is a way to do it, with vinyl stencils and a blasting setup...

The paper used is the main factor in getting a strong black. Truepix, Texprint HR type of level needed so plenty of ink gets transferred. In direct sunlight you will always see the panel but standard conditions you can get a more than acceptable finish. It will never be perfect as there is also a slight raised edge where the black meets the white on the blank mug. We print loads though and customers are happy.

I'm using Ink Expert's Versa on Orca mugs and I've got lovely deep neutral blacks. I'll try out a box.

How does fine text look though? I can imagine that the slight blurriness will look grey and get lost in a black mug?
