    Image not transferring

I'm kind of new to dye sublimation process. I have an image printed from Epson L805, 6 color inkjet that I'm trying to transfer with my heat press (my first test after buying the printer and heat press), I am using sublimation paper with the correct sublimation ink. I have the image placed face down on the hat (which is a sample hat the company sent with the press). The image won't transfer after several attempts using different heat/time settings. What am I missing? PLEASE HELP!!!

    Thank you!

    Just a thought ....

Are you setting your heat press to the correct temperature scale?

I don't know if you work in centigrade or fahrenheit in USA but if your settings say a different scale than your instructions, say 180c and your press works in F then the press may not be reaching a high enough temperature for the transfer.

What brand of inks and paper are you using?

Try pressing onto a plain white piece of 100% polyester fabric as a test

Has the printer always only had sublimation ink it it, or did it have the original Epson ink in it first?

The inks are Epson compatible, made in China (generic refill), from Amazon. I couldn't find the Epson inks anywhere around. With Printers Jack, Inkjet Sublimation Paper. I'll give that a try.
