    Epson launch A4 sublimation printer.

    https://www.images-magazine.com/epso...e-sub-printer/

    Surecolor sc-f100.
Not cheap - advertised in Holland for pre-order at a similar price to Sawgrass SG500,but with eco-tanks it is going to be cheap on inks.

Wonder if there is going to be an A3/A3+ version?

Downside is sublimation looks to be hitting the mainstream. Look out for even more competition.

Whats the expected price? peronsally see no point whatseover to A4.

When you can set up an L850 (A4) or L1800 (A3+) with 6 colour Inktec inks I see little point in these.

395 euros/£355+ vat, so similar to the SG500.

Too much for A4, but it is interesting that this is the first small format printer manufacturer to directly take on Sawgrass in this sector.

Be interesting to find out what printer it is based on.

Yes, very interesting and about time too. Personally I still prefer 6+ colours but for most everday work I'm sure this would be fine. Not as expensive as I'd imagined either, a very good alternative to the SG printers.

SG500 is rubbish because of the SPM software. Epson printhead longevity is an issue. I'd still be happy to buy one of these if they ever hit the market. I wish HP or Canon would jump on the dyesub bandwagon.

Interesting for me, I have a Ricoh that is used for printing nothing but mugs. 4 colour A4 size printer is all that's needed. I load it up with pre cut paper and let it slog away. If the Ricoh ever drops dead I have an alternative.

I have set a reminder on my phone to upload how to do borderless on an Epson tomorrow. Once you know how then I think you will switch anyway ;-)

You mean, like HP's Stitch sublimation printers?
We bought the Stitch S300 in November
(The Stitch printers are reworked latex printers, so the Stitch S300 is the latex 300 etc)

Anyone know how the Epson sublimation inks (particularly the black) compare to Inktec Sublinova?
