    New generation presses

Has anyone tried out these new generation presses ? I am thinking of getting one as my big Adkins workhorse needs to go off for a thorough service, as the temp alarm keeps going off, even though it is not going over temp.

This one below also has the mug/cap press, but they are around £160 just as the press on its own. The biggest advantage I can see is storage/space. I also need something for my heat seal for the patches I am making, so this would work for that, they also make smaller models.

Haven't been on here for a while so just saw this. I got the 10"x10" vevor last week. £89.99. I've only used it once as I'm now retired but wanted to try it. I used it for vinyl, TMT 123 got the temp up to 160c, pressed for 3 seconds but it wasn't all sticking so had to press again a couple of times.

I then tried it for a transfer using a piece for light tshirts from Photo Paper Direct. Had temp at 190 for 12 seconds but when I lifted a piece of the paper it hadn't transferred properly so stuck it back in for another few seconds. The tshirt actually turned out fine.

Not sure if the temperature was out by much I think I gave my thermometer away or else lost it in the house move or I didn't use the vibration so possibly wasn't using enough force. It seems an all right piece of equipment although not sure how hard you could work it.

If you want me to do some more tests let me know. I have plenty of leftover vinyl and tshirts lol

We have a Cricut mini press, these are all knockoffs of that. It's tiny, but really handy for removing vinyl or applying fiddly bits, like inner labels.
