    Stupid question sorry

When vinyl cutting it will just cut the outline from the software but when printing and then cutting a design I can’t seem to get it to print and cut the white.

    A little explanation.

design let’s say for arguments sake it’s a rugby ball and it has white text around the outside saying rugby’s biggest fan. (It’s not that tacky)

when I upload the image to AI it doesn’t see the white text to enable me to create a cut line?
I have tried and tried and just can’t suss this out.

    Im useless with AI.
can I just create a 100% magenta stroke in PS and upload it straight to versaworks?

If the text is a proper font or vector and not a raster, then you can simply select it and then hit Object then expand. The outline of the text should then be selected.
In order to add a cut line round it that Versaworks will recognise, you need to have a 100% magenta swatch named CutContour. Nothing else will work.

You should have a folder in your Versaworks software that contains the correct swatches for Illustrator. You can import the swatches from there. These will give you both the versaworks cut swatches and the spot colour library.

    Hope that makes sense.
