Uneven heat and/or uneven pressure.
Sit down with a coffee and search the forum, there is quite a bit about pressing slates. Nice when they come out right.

Thanks for your reply I think it was pressure as I have done some before this one and the came out perfect.i checked the quality of the slate and it dropped of on each of the corners where the weird print was so the slate wasn’t flat on the surface I upped my pressure today and was perfect
do you use silicon sheet?

I press these saltes as follows:
Pre heat for 125 secs
Attach Transfer
Lay sheet over top (paper inbetween)
Press at medium pressure for 600 (yes 600) seconds
I print 2 or 3 at a time and this works perfectly.

Yes I use a silicone sheet on the top
I’m pressing mine at 200 for 460 seconds with silicone sheet I done some today and they come out great so I think it was my pressure as check now when I’m setting my pressure to make sure its making contact all over the slate
Yes that's often the problem getting a consistant pressure, this is why I use the mat on top.

Ye well hopefully I have cracked it now it doesn’t help if you have a uneven slate as I put a flat metal ruler on it and sloped of on each of the corners
