    Pricing advice

Vinyl was easy it’s simply the cost of vinyl + app tape + time + postage + profit margin.

Now printing vinyl is vinyl + inks + laminate + time + postage + profit margin.
And then T-shirt’s adding cost of T-shirt’s and Etsy adding listing fees etc etc etc.

Is there a rule of thumb for printing and laminating vinyl and it’s costs?

I have been asked to make 100x 100x90mm stickers laminated.
I don’t know what the base price should be I don’t want to scare them off but I don’t want to cut myself short either..

That is roughly 10 square metres of vinyl, ink and laminate. Work out your costs and add your mark-up.
Don't forget to add a couple of quid per square metre for wear and tear on the machine, before you mark up.

would you say £60 for 100 delivered is too high or too low?

I think I got my maths wrong - I was working on 100cm x 9cm for some reason, so only about 1 square metre. My bad.
£60 would be a good mark up (60p each) - vinyl and laminate are about £1 sq/m each (+vat) and ink is similar. Allowing £2 metre wear and tear then you are in at about £6 cost. The £60 presumably includes your time for artwork/set up and postage.

Try for the add on sale - offer the customer extra metres/100 stickers for £30 metre (two metres/200 stickers for £90). All the set up is done and you are getting 500% mark up on each extra metre for a few minutes laminating.
