The detape stuff is cheap and won’t last.
I have a tonne of it and don’t know what to do with it.
for indoor use I use the ritrama L-range.
and outdoor the kpmf 5000 both seem to perform well for what I need.
if you are looking for quality go for oracal 651. ;)

Ye I was starting to think it’s cheap stuff used it for 12 months but the last batch I had doesn’t seem that sticky anymore. Are the ones you use polymeric or monomeric I was using the polymeric as thought was better for car stickers.i have just ordered som oracal 651 to try
I have both and neither of it is great.
When I got my first machine I ordered 25m of almost every colour. (Big mistake)
I use the ritrama L-range now for The cheaper jobs like interior signage and i can print on it too which is a bonus.
I have had very few problems with it. As with any vinyl you need to work it quite hard with the squeegee to activate the adhesive in cold conditions.
Has it been hanging around in the workshop for a long time?
I wouldn't say it was ages as go through it quick a month at the most before I use the whole roll. what do you think of the Oracal 651 is that alot better than the others out there
can you print on ritrama L range can you is that dye sublimation or screen printing on it
Eco solvent printing.
I can print onto it like I do digital vinyl which is a bonus as I hold around 200m of 305mm white in stock as I use it every day.
I do use the detape clear application tapes these seem to be ok for the price.
the detape paper tapes are rubbish though.
what do I need for eco solvent printing and have you tried Oracal 651
A printer like a Roland bn20 or larger printer is eco solvent.
and yes the oracal 651 is a good choice.
You can get better but for home hobby use and interior signage it’s fine.
Weeding and application is a lot easier than detape.
