Problems printing on 3mm Cast Acrylic

    Hi

    hoping someone can help me?

ive been trying to sublimate on clear cast acrylic and it’s doing really nicely BUT, I just can’t get it fully transparent again without it looking dirty on the printed side. I’ve tried scrubbing it with non abrasive sponges, I’ve tried a magic sponge but all still leave it cloudy.

looks stunning while water is flowing over it, but the minute it’s dry and you’re looking close up, it’s a problem. Please help! How do we get it back to fully transparent again?

    Here’s a sample...63421AC5-CD06-4E65-814E-493675199A23.jpg

    thanks so much!

Are you using a silicone sponge between the paper and the heat press?

It could be the texture of the press indenting on the acrylic when it softens.

What time and temp? 3mm will struggle under a lot of heat. Have you trialed the lesser heat and time options?

If acrylic gets too hot it will "bloom" Too high a temperature would be my guess.
